There has been a schedule change for the SHS Brass and Woodwinds Camp this week: For the rest of this week (June 5-9 ) band will be from 1 pm- 5 pm in the SHS Band Hall. THERE WILL BE NO BAND PRACTICE IN THE MORNINGS. This is for all current and incoming brass and woodwind members of the SHS Band. The SHS Band Brass and Woodwind Camp is next week (June 5-9) from 8 am-11 am and 1 pm-5 pm in the SHS Band hall. (Lunch break from 11-1 on their own). This is for all incoming and current members of the SHS Brass and Woodwind Sections. The SHS Colorguard Camp will be on May 8, 9, 10 in the SHS band hall from 8 am-5 pm with a break for lunch on their own. This camp is for all current and incoming members of the SHS Colorguard. We will be learning the opener to the 2023 marching show as well as developing some very important fundamental skills. Positions in the 2023 Marching show are determined , in part by attendance at summer band. Students should wear comfortable clothes and tennis/running/athletic shoes. **REMINDER** 6th Grade Field Day 5/5/2023 @ SHS Students must return to school unless parents have completed the Pre-check out that closed 5/3. Parents must remain in the stands throughout the event.

We are looking to start a new tradition. We think moving from Middle School to high School is a big deal and we would like to celebrate the students becoming Freshman. If you would like to see us start something like this on the last day or two of school, please fill out the provide questionnaire.

The 2023 Spring Band Concert is happening on Thursday May 4 in the SHS Auditorium. The middle school concert starts at 6:00 pm and the SHS Concert and Awards night will begin at 7:30 pm. We hope to see you there!

Tomorrow is the 8th Grade Science STAAR. 8th Graders will not have athletics and will need to report to the Middle School first thing in the morning. Get a good night sleep! Be ready to do your very best!

Don't forget the parent meeting tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM , in the High school gym, for parents of currently enrolled 5th, 6th and 7th grade girls who are interested in volleyball through the school in the coming years.
